For as long as I can remember each Christmas my family and I select individuals in our community who might not get the Christmas that they deserve.  For the twelve days leading up to Christmas
we leave a gift associated with each verse of the song. This has always been one of my favorite traditions and has taught me to look forward to giving on Christmas rather than receiving.

For this project I wanted to illustrate each verse of the song to be given with our gifts. As I worked on determining how to present the project, I decided to display my illustrations on tags. This  creates an interesting conversation as the viewer must determine whether to interpret them as gift tags or price tags.

Whether you like it or not technology dominates the world we live in. Some might argue that technological advances are making us stupid, limiting out abilities to communicate and think for ourselves. Others focus on the possibilities of the future and the potential gain that can come from fully accepting technology and the direction it is pushing us; failing to think of the negative consequences as they blindly follow.  As Telematics we seeks for balance. Technological advances should be accepted and celebrated but technology needs to be handled in moderation and with a consciousness of the negative affects.  As we accept and understand the footprint technology leaves on this earth we can combat such negative affects. Technology can be a tremendous force for good in the environment if we let it.
