For as long as I can remember each Christmas my family and I select
individuals in our community who might not get the Christmas that they
deserve. For the twelve days leading up
to Christmas
we leave a gift associated with each verse of the song. This has
always been one of my favorite traditions and has taught me to look forward to
giving on Christmas rather than receiving.
For this project I wanted to illustrate each verse of the song to be given with our gifts. As I worked on determining how to present the project, I decided to display my illustrations on tags. This creates an interesting conversation as the viewer must determine whether to interpret them as gift tags or price tags.
